I have only had a brief listen to the Shizuku but remember it having more of a v shape with somewhat recessed mids. Between those two it will likely come down to preference – the Shizuku will have more bass and slam while the T2 Plus is closer to neutral with better mids.

Most any earphone with removable cable can be converted to balanced with a cable swap. For headphones, if the cable attaches at each cup they can generally be made balanced with a cable change. If a headphone only connects on one side, they likely need to be modified to accept a balanced cable. As Examples – Sennheiser HD600 cable connects at both cups – this is a simple cable swap to balance – Fostex T50Rp connects on one side and requires modification to the wiring in the headphone to use as balanced. – For in ears – look for a cable that matches the earpiece connection type (mmcx, .78 or .75 bi-pin) and a 2.5mm jack at the opposite end for use with the sparrow.

I am planning to buy the Sparrow, I have an iBasso IT01S iem with balanced, but I would like to know which headphone in the $500-700 range has balanced and can be used with Sparrow? Would I be needing an adapter for going balanced? If yes, which one is the best? Thanks.

it definitely does some genre better than others and will likely be a bit polarizing.

I think the knight is a bit cleaner than the nameless and a bit better in the low end and mids. Treble is about equal between the two and build is very similar so what difference is there is a matter of degree and is most evident in the mids.
